So after wandering around the desert for a while, Artemis and Wally run into Superboy and Conner attacks them because he seemingly does not know who they are at this point. After a brief skirmish with Conner, another band of soldiers attack the team, to which Conner immediately attacks. Wally and Artemis both trying to decide whether it is because of a protective instinct or just a desire to destroy things. Artemis attempts to take down a few planes when Me'gan starts speaking in her head. After Me'gan takes down the planes, she attempts to explain to Wally and Artemis that they are both on a team with her and the person that just attacked and defended them. Before she tries to explain further, they all agree to try to at least find Robin before explaining everything. As there memory loss only goes back six months, Wally agrees since he and Dick go back quite a while.
Once the rest of the team finds Robin being attacked by another band of soldiers, Me'gan decides to take them all into her mind and try to piece together all of their collective memories. The rest of the team is on board with this, while Artemis(for obvious reasons) doesn't want anyone, let alone someone she doesn't know, to go snooping around her mind. The only reason she agrees to go through with it is that Wally convinces her, but only after she makes it clear to make sure Me'gan only takes what is needed. Once they piece together the fact that they were on a covert mission and were mind-wiped by a character named Psimon. After sensing Conner is in pain, Me'gan rushes forward to save him regardless of the warnings that they did not know if they could avoid what happened before. She also leaves them with Kaldur, whom they found completely dehydrated.
While Me'gan goes after Conner, Dick leaves Wally and Artemis alone for a little while; hacking the soldiers communications. Both reestablish that nothing changed with there relationship, at least in words; even with Wally asking her why her dad would want to kill him. She pretty clearly makes up that she got that idea from a movie she saw with a Romeo and Juliet with ninjas in a sense. It would be remiss to not mention one of Wally's classic quotes of this show, "So.. I'm your ninja boyfriend right?" Though Artemis is clearly making a face saying, oh boy is he onto what I truly think about him; so she retorts with a snarky comment about forgetting how annoying he is.
After Me'gan comes back with Superboy and a new member of a sort with a character Conner wanted to name Sphere. We are not ever told outright why he wanted to take this piece of technology outside of the fact that it saved him and Me'gan could sense some thinking pattern. All of which is explained in part later on in the series.
Alright that is all for this one guys. Nice to get back to this after a week of staying away from the blog for personal reasons. Next time, we will get into another tie-in comic story. Hope you all enjoyed this part.
