So, just a pre-warning. This episode is going to be split into three blog post due to the length I try to keep these on average while doing them justice. For my regulars, you know this already. Been away for a while due to life, but back for to continue Artemis' journey with 'The Fix'.

In the beginning we see Artemis lying on her back, in her room, self-reflecting on Manta's ship.

Artemis wonders how everything has become so messed up since Kaldur's mind was broken by Me'gan. What is interesting is that Artemis blames herself for even being a part of this mission as she starts to think that Wally was right in trying keeping her out of this life. Looking at herself in the mirror with an image that sums up the scene without any need for dialogue; seeing her true self against the Tigris persona.

While looking at herself, one can see that she remembers why she left the crime-fighting life; being her personal addiction. Think about it. Artemis starts to have her moment of clarity long after she has been involved in this mission. One could say she always had doubts, but even after she "dies', she is perfectly willing to go into phase two of the plan. After saying that she essentially threw away a good life with Wally, because once Dick called to ask if she would help she couldn't say yes fast enough.

The idea that this has been a knowing addiction is something that has been brought up in season one 'Secret', but even a brief mention in 'Depths' with the conversation between Artemis and Dick about how they miss being in the field.

Try to take a soldier out of a war, and former veterans will be lucky to adjust in time, much less immediately.

It worth noting on how different the Tigris persona truly is from Artemis. Artemis makes a note that it's getting hard to tell the difference between her true self and Tigris. One could indicate that there is only a slight push from what Artemis did on the team, to becoming a mercenary. Artemis has the training necessary and her first instinct to solve anything is to fight. Knowing how Artemis and Jade spent their childhood, it would be easy to become something like Tigris, without some good influences. The same can be said for Jade, but that will be touched upon whenever I get to her character down the line.

After Artemis' inner monologue, Manta calls for her to come to Kaldur's room to keep an eye on Psimon while he attempts to fix his mind.

Before he leaves, Manta comments that Kaldur spoke highly of Artemis. This illuminates a little of why Manta trust Tigris so quickly, since the terror twins note that they've never heard of her before.

Manta also says that it's obvious that Artemis cares for him as well. Artemis responds that she doesn't talk much about it. Manta seems to admire this as he respects that she let's her actions define her character, Which is very true of Artemis' character on the whole, as can be seen in her arc over the entire first season. Thinking that she couldn't become a member of any group that has a positive impact on her without proving she is worthy of it. So it's debatable whether Artemis ever overcomes this inferiority complex or whether it's permanent part of her due to her background.

Before Psimon gets into Kaldur's mind, Artemis sticks him with a dart filled with a substance that keeps the mind catatonic for weeks. Psimon picks up on this and discovers Artemis before he is knocked out. It is worth noting that Psimon mentions that Sportsmaster created the substance. Which could explain Artemis' intelligence in science comes from and is often something people don't think about most criminals in the comic world; they are usually better in scholastic terms than the heroes in most cases.

Manta sees Artemis being tossed around on a security camera, without sound. Wondering what happened, Artemis answers that he went berserk. This has to mean that Psimon is unconscious or at least taken out by the end of the season as he would tell someone Tigris' identity.

Manta says that any other telepath they may use, could end up the same way; potentially being a mental trap by Me'gan. Artemis suggest to get Me;'gan to fix Kaldur. Manta says that Kaldur would not forgive him if she went alone so he sends Deathstroke with her.

That's where I'm going to end this one guys. Hope you enjoyed it, and I will report back soon.
