Hey guys. Haven't decided yet if this will be a two or three part blog, so I guess we'll see as it goes along. With that short aside, let's delve into 'Complications'.

So the episode begins with more than a month gap between 'The Fix' and 'Complications'. Being that it has been so long, draining the resources needed to keep Me'gan alive and detained, it's easy to see why Black Manta starts to crack down on her to finish the job. Though it is eventually discovered that Kaldur is back to full mental strength, there is no definite time given when he actually is made whole again. With Slade constantly watching the three, with Me'gan powers being repressed with the collar, Artemis is unsure of how to get Me'gan out.

Knowing the end of the series, it's clear that Kaldur has had time to fill in Me'gan about the remainder of the plan he and Dick cooked up. Hard to say how long they have been thinking about ways to get Me'gan away, showing that they have to exclusively communicate with the psychic link, they could have gone through several plans but kept finding holes in each of them; again that may all depend on how long it took to fix Kaldur.

Before Artemis can put a plan, which is clearly a hastily put together plan as Me'gan concern to the great margin of error involved, into full motion; Jade and Sportsmaster come aboard Manta's ship. Both coming for their own personal reasons.

All Hell breaks loose when Jade takes out Artemis' substitute guard and the alarms sound throughout the ship. While this gives Artemis time to turn Me'gan's collar off, it's not long until she runs into her father fighting Manta.

As Manta goes to protect his son, even blowing up his own men to get the door open, he tells Artemis to deal with Crusher. This could be shown in a way of updating Artemis' status with her father as we know she could beat him with help of her new family in season 1. What happens if she goes against him being able to use the weapons he likely used with her during their training together many years ago. She seems to fair decently, but she is clearly outmatched, either because she is still in her role as the mirror motif is used briefly earlier in the episode once again, or she could never match him in a one on one. Artemis is nearly killed, but Me'gan manages to bring the entire group together in the psychic plain, apart from Manta, to give the answers necessary.

That is all for this one guys. I shall be back in time to finish this episode with the second half of 'Complications'.
