Time to finish off the few final scenes of 'Complications', so little pre-amble, let's get to it then.

Before Artemis can get impaled by her father, Me'gan drags them all into the psychic plain. Jade believes she's being violated because she thinks that Me'gan pulled the memory of her room from her mind. That line does show that even though Jade is long past the innocence of the time she spent in that room, and fully intent on killing Kaldur in the present, her mind is never too far from that time with her sister. While that time may have been painful in several ways for she and Artemis, her solace still comes from that time with her sister and that responsibility she still holds with protecting her little sister.

While Jade is ranting to Me'gan, she tells her that it's not Jade's memory she's picking the environment from, as Artemis steps into the light with her normal appearance and voice.

Artemis reassures Jade that it's her, which she visibly believes, Crusher is still unconvinced. An important point to be made is that Jade tries to make him see that it is Artemis by trying to get him to feel her presence, when he responds that he doesn't even feel hers. This is very telling in terms of both Crock women. Outside of Crusher being very career oriented and only does things for his own progression in his jobs that he takes on. Crusher does make the point to Jade that they are not as different as she would like to believe, and in a sense that's true. The difference is that both Jade and Artemis is that while they can only center on one thing in their lives passionately as well, they focus their attention on those close to them. As both gain new families once they get away from Crusher; Artemis with the team and Wally specifically, and Jade with Roy and Lian. It can be assumed that they get this trait from their mother, though knowing Paula's history, we can assume that both of them learn it earlier in life than their mother.

To convince Crusher with certainty, Artemis tells Me'gan to release them out of the psychic plain, afterward she performs a move in combat that her father taught her. Again this is, sadly, telling of how Crusher really shows love to his daughters, only through physical abuse does he realize that it is his daughter.

Before more guards come to stop Crusher, Artemis asks him for a favor to destroy the console that turned Me'gan's collar off so there would be no evidence or further suspicion of a traitor. This done with as much pleasure as Crusher can muster as he's lost all hope for progression with this particular group.

Both Crusher and Jade make their way towards the exit, (after a performance of Me'gan's in front of Manta so all three of them can escape) Slade blocks their way of escape. Crusher tells him that they will discard him once their finished with him, but Slade's confidence is maintained because his ambitions have risen to member status of The Light.

Once Slade gets into a brawl with Crusher, Artemis and Jade go through the motions of a fight so they can enjoy one last talk. A nice character bit that may or may not be true is that Jade appreciates the resemblance that Artemis chose to take as this persona. It's not unthinkable that Artemis would draw some inspiration from her sisters' costume as we at least know that they left on fairly good terms at the end of season 1 and who knows how much growth has happened in between those five years. Artemis responds with her own sign of affection as she thinks it's sweet that her sister wanted to avenge her; Jade tells her that the only reasons she was upset is that she couldn't babysit her niece.

Slade tells Artemis to stop toying with her as Me'gan enters the room to pin him and Artemis against the wall. Me'gan holds them in place long enough for Jade and Crusher to escape and nearly makes hers but not before Slade gives one last attempt to keep his prisoner with smoke bombs; however, Me'gan manages to phase through the ship and get away.

That's it for this one guys. Only two episodes left, both at least two blogs. The last episode maybe being a trilogy. Thanks for reading.
