As the fight continues,(during such time there are more members of the team arrive, to the point where every member is on this mission) Artemis goes after Ubu once he grabs a wounded Ra's Al Ghul, but is slapped away while Ubu gets out of the cave.
Wally catches Artemis and says, "I want to kiss you right now, or possibly kill you for putting us through this.", to which Artemis responds; "We'll talk later, when we're alone". Outside of the obvious that they would go back to living civilian lives in a heartbeat. Wally always being opposed to this mission, and Artemis realizing that she doesn't want this life anymore during her identity crisis. Those bits of dialogue also show that she is ready to move away from the addiction of beating people as therapy sessions. Maybe when she and Wally left the team originally she wasn't really ready to leave, but just had peer pressure from Wally.
Now who really knows whether she intended to fully give it up considering some lines from the finale episode. Whatever the case it's guaranteed whichever way Artemis wanted to go, Wally would support her; whether it is to ground her during a mission or have a life of a civilian; that's what is not even a negotiating piece at this point that Wally would have to be there.
Sometime later, Wally and Bart have a conversation before they dismantle The Brain. During this conversation, Wally tells Bart that he wants him to take the mantle of Kid Flash once the mission is over. Considering that the only time we have seen the two on screen, Wally couldn't stand Bart. Though it has been months, and times of emotionally straining for Wally so maybe he used Bart as his personal counselor.
The fight is capped with Kaldur taking down his father,(which is it's own interesting storyline, but this isn't it's a Kaldur blog)the end result is that at least half of The Light is brought down and the Reach ambassador is captured.
Despite all of this, Kaldur still considers it only a partial victory. It takes: Wally, Artemis, and Dick to convince him that his plan worked better than expected by most.
That's it for this one guys. Next it's the trilogy blog post for the finale. Kicking around an idea of doing something slightly different(at least schedule-wise) for this finale episode. Anyway, thanks for reading this and I will report back soon for the final piece of Artemis's blog.
