"I Know He Would be Proud."

Alright, time for the grand finale of Artemis' journey thus far. There will be a few words at the end so stick around for that; without further ado let's conclude 'Endgame'.

Two weeks have past since Wally's death, ending exactly six years from when the team began.

As the team is given the chance to set up base with the League in the Watchtower, Artemis goes to visit Bart in Wally's costume(who is staring at the memorial to Wally alongside the other dead League and Team members). Artemis says that Bart looks good in the costume and he says that he feels like a fraud.

Now, considering Bart was asked to take over the mantle, by Wally, once the mission was completed. In his own way(as Artemis tells him in the scene), Bart is honoring Wally by wearing the costume; regardless if Wally's death was to be the reason why he took it over or not.

After Artemis tells Bart that Wally would be proud, he asks why Artemis is in the Tigris costume. Artemis' response is sensible but heartbreaking at the same time as she says that "Artemis was Wally's partner.". That's all she says ,and it could mean a few things. One is that in this costume she may embrace her more violent tendencies or willing to cross more lines; think about how savage she was in 'Secret', and that was with another member to ground her. It may also mean that if Artemis didn't switch uniforms, she could have been a liability in breaking down or being too tenacious with criminals that she gets herself killed.

At the same time, I don't believe that Artemis is going to make any sort of progress: emotionally or psychologically if she stays in that costume for longer than is healthy for a grieving period. The only way she could move forward is to put that costume back on; even if it just means long enough to prove that she has moved on in a healthy state.

It's possible that(as Jade did mention Artemis took inspiration from her costume) Jade may be able to help Artemis through this time; potentially getting closer to her sister, brother-in-law, and niece. At the same time, knowing how difficult it is for Artemis to trust anyone and with one of those few people dead, maybe she completely secludes herself from further relationships outside of the ones she already has made. It is a healthy in a sense that she is going to put attention on others instead of herself(of course who knows what happened in those intervening two weeks), so it could go either way.

With the line that she is seeing if Tigris looks good as a blonde, one could see how Artemis is trying to be as optimistic as possible, but it will be even more rare than before.

The final scene of being assigned to investigate Lex Corps relabeling the Reach soft drink; being on a team with Bart maybe able to help create a new routine(considering Dick's line "Business as usual.") as well as helping each other emotionally. When it all comes down to it, it is all left up for time tell what comes next.

That's it for the character journey. Thank you all for following me on this untested road. Hope that this blog helps catch you guys up if you are wanting to know everything about Artemis before the third season lands in the beginning of next year.

I will be taking a few weeks, maybe a month, before starting a new journey. Maybe you guys can help me decide, but I am debating between three choices of characters to analyze next, consisting of: Rogue(either X-Men Evolution version or the Claremont Run), Wonder Woman(either the 2017 film or the George Perez run), or(if you guys want to continue great animated female characters, just a little off the typical comic book path), either Katara(Avatar: Last Airbender) or Kora(Legend of Korra).

Whatever choice, I hope I will see you guys on the next journey of great characters(that happen to be female).
